As a Warehouse Team Member, you will play a crucial role that directly impacts the success of Chick-fil-A restaurants. Duties include unloading, picking and loading product at the Chick-fil-A Supply St. Louis, MO Distribution Center in Maryland Heights, MO. Chick-fil-A Supply strives to be the most caring distribution center in the world with scheduling, pay and benefits that demonstrate care for our team members.

Schedule:  Monday through Saturday from 7 AM until the work is done:

  • 4 Day Workweek (4 10-hour days)
  • The schedule will be assigned according to business needs, and flexibility is needed during weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts

Location: 13965 Riverport Place, Maryland Heights, MO 63043

Pay: Starting at $20+ per hour

Responsibilities

  • Drive the efficiency, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse by ensuring the following:
  • Product is promptly unloaded into the warehouse and loaded onto outbound trucks according to company policies and weight/loading restrictions
  • Product is properly staged and prepared for efficient loading procedures
  • All equipment is safely operated (e.g., forklifts and pallet jacks)
  • Food safety standards are maintained throughout the warehouse
  • Technology such as scanners are accurately and effectively operated
  • Data is entered correctly
  • Product is accepted and returned in accordance with company policies
  • Work consistently in extreme temperature conditions such as the freezer
  • Complete physically demanding work, including frequently lifting up to 65 pounds and occasionally moving with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 pounds
  • Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work
  • Work with and handle cleaning chemicals as needed
  • Work while standing for several hours at a time
  • Prepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
  • Wear all appropriate clothing/equipment as required for the task being performed according to the employee handbook and PPE safety requirements
  • Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholders including DC management
  • Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Other duties may also be assigned from time to time
  • Intimately know the needs of customers, treat all parties with dignity and respect in difficult situations, and maintain a positive, service-focused mindset

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent (e.g., GED)
  • A self-starter with excellent project management and organization skills
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player who can work independently when necessary
  • Keenly interested and engaged in finding solutions for continuous improvement
  • A detail-oriented, organized yet creative problem solver and communicator (both written and verbal)
