As the CFA Supply delivery network grows, the scale, scope, and capability of our systems must grow with it. Two of our most critical systems, warehouse management and transportation management, will undergo near constant change as we launch new facilities and deploy new services. The operational voice will be increasingly important in the design of new systems and services, and the successful deployment of these systems and services will become increasingly challenging across a large and dispersed network. The WMS/TMS Implementation Leader is primarily responsible for the design, functionality, capability, and installation of WMS and TMS solutions to the CFA Supply distribution network.  This individual will focus on four areas:

1.      Design of new systems and capabilities.

2.     Implementation of new systems in new facilities.

3.     Implementation of new systems in existing facilities.

4.     Implementation of new capabilities in existing facilities.

Reporting to the Sr. Principal Team Leader, Operations Implementation, the WMS/TMS Implementation Lead will coordinate across multiple functional areas to deliver on their responsibilities and ensure the success of the operation. This position calls for a dynamic leader who has a heart of service and compassion, coupled with a sharp mind and strong leadership presence to effectively manage the business. Furthermore, this role will be uniquely challenged with their participation in the stand up of a brand-new DC and the testing and refinement of a new facility implementation playbook to assist in the stand up of future facilities.

General:

• Develop into the operational subject matter expert on WMS and TMS
• Serve as operational liaison to ETS, defining business requirements and representing the operation in the design of WMS and TMS for new and existing facilities
• Leverage their own expertise and soliciting the input of the operation to identify problems and ideate new system functionality
• Lead the development, design, testing, and implementation of new WMS and TMS functionality
• Collaborate with talent and implementation leads to develop effective functional training for new and existing operations
• Collaborate with the Asset team on the business and operational requirements for new automation functionality; lead COBE on the development of new processes associated with automation
• Collaborate with ETS to develop and report out on system KPIs
• Collaborate with ETS on outage mitigation and update timing
• Analyze and develop solutions addressing customer needs
• Trouble shoot daily operational system issues to define root cause and define temporary/permanent solutions during Go-Live phase
• Ability to take direction, learn processes/systems quickly and apply to deliver results based on timeline
• Work with business to understand and document requirements, determine design and approach, configure, and test various applications to deliver and support business needs
• On-going analysis of the supply chain process to identify opportunities for process and system improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reduction through the use of various supply chain applications and data mining tools
• Organize, schedule and run meetings to identify supply chain opportunities and system needs: Interacting with multiple departments including but not limited to ETS, Finance, Transportation, Restaurant Services, Supply Planning, Distribution Operations
• Documenting meeting minutes, action items, issues, and risks
• Collaborates with COBE to document requirements, process flows, new functionality, and creation of SOP/training materials
• Training super and end users on new functionality and process changes
• Ability to plan, track, escalate and deliver upon tasks and timelines assigned
• Monitor process and technology and provide insights into overall status

Relationship Management:

• Work closely with CFA Supply Senior Leadership Team, CFA Inc. Supply Chain, Operators, and various business partners to ensure optimal alignment and collaboration
• Demonstrate the ability to value both relationships and results and to put others above themselves
• Recruit, train, and develop a strong team

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, supply chain management or another relevant field
• 7+ years of experience in distribution, manufacturing, or other relevant supply chain field management
• Strong aptitude to think critically, solve problems, and drive improvements in a professional and respectful manner
• Strong knowledge of production and inventory control theories and practices
• Functional knowledge and expertise in distribution: designing, managing, and executing distribution center operations
• Experience with general accounting practices and P&L
• Demonstrated experience and success with process improvement and efficiency, including establishing and managing KPIs
• Working knowledge of inbound logistics, warehousing, IT systems, and outbound logistics in the distribution industry
• Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with general safety standards, quality specifications, and governmental requirements
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Strong ability to negotiate and resolve conflict by navigating confrontational situations to ensure all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respect
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access; experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS solutions

• 10+ years leading large scale DC Operations
• Experience managing in a food distribution or food manufacturing environment
• Experience in a start-up environment
• Demonstrated success in operations and people leadership
• Experience with building and managing to budgets; ownership of P&L categories
• Demonstrated ability to perform effective short-term and long-range planning
