Overview

As the Implementation Transportation Trainer, you will own a critical element of onboarding for new drivers and navigators in new and existing facilities. You will also be responsible for driving all aspects of training for new and occasionally experienced drivers to include PACE and other safety training, efficiency coaching, certification and recertification, etc. Additional responsibilities include partnering with the implementation team to evaluate and refine existing training programs, build training for new processes and initiatives, monitor and impact training effectiveness, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives as assigned in locations as needed. You will also be occasionally called upon to support our growing network in contingency operations, supporting our partners and our own distribution centers in exceptional times.

Reporting to an Implementation Transportation Project Leader, this role will require regular and consistent travel, generally on a weekly basis, on or over a weekend and/or holidays at times, to the various locations of new facilities or markets in need of support. The work could take place during the day or overnight, as required.

This role will serve on a diverse, dynamic, and fast-paced team at the forefront of our business’s growth and expansion. The individual will be called upon to work at a high rate and with high quality across multiple different activities, stakeholders, and locations. We urge any applicant to thoroughly consider the travel requirements, the variety of assignments, the frequency of task switching, and the expectations around cultural accretion before applying.

A note on location requirements:

Given the nature of this role, the individual must live within 60 miles of large regional airport and/or an existing Chick-fil-A Supply distribution center. As noted, individuals will be expected to travel weekly to conduct training activities, support operations implementation efforts, and conduct contingency operations. These activities could take place in our Atlanta-based training center, an existing facility, a start-up facility, or a partner facility across the country. As needed between implementation assignments, individuals will be expected to report to an existing distribution center, perhaps not in their home market, to safely complete normal driver tasks and functions at a high-level of proficiency.
