Overview

As Chick-fil-A Supply continues to scale, we must think strategically about our current capabilities and long-term goals to determine the best talent strategy to meet our growing business needs. The Learning and Development (L&D) Team will support these capabilities and scale to meet these needs.


The Learning Experience Lead will be an active member of the Chick-fil-A Supply Talent team. Successful candidates will have a true hands-on approach, strong project management skills, and be an effective communicator. This role requires the ability to influence without authority, collaborate with leadership of varying levels, and successfully execute deliverables that will enhance the learning and development of employees to improve their performance and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Design: Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to develop and implement effective learning experiences in support of L&D Curriculum creation
  • Project management: Support and execute major deadline-driven L&D initiatives, on budget and on time, using appropriate combinations of vendors, contractors, agencies and inhouse services with People-leader alignment
  • Compliance: Audit and maintain updated and readily available training documentation for Supply Warehouse and Transportation employees according to procedures and regulations
  • Relationships: Establish and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with Supply Services Partners, L&D peers, key business partners, external vendors and DC Operation Leaders
  • Serve: Understand Distribution and Transportation needs to tailor learning content in an effective manner. Regular DC visits are required for connection, needs assessment and subsequent application of key takeaways to create, optimize, or improve L&D initiatives
  • Continuous improvement: Passioned desire to learn how to improve training and translate key learning trends into impactful content that supports DC Operational growth and scalability through skilled workforce

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource development, business, instructional/learning design, communications, or
    related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a training function or role, with proven ability to successfully implement L&D initiatives and drive adoption
  • Support the development, facilitation, and administration of L&D content and training platforms with focus on
    Distribution and Transportation Operations
  • Self-starter able to work independently or in a group, adapt to shifting priorities, and who enjoys creating and
    implementing new initiatives
  • Create SOPs and other standard training documentation for Warehouse/Transportation functions
  • Audit for compliance in execution and completion of required trainings and certifications/re-certifications
  • Ability to communicate well with team members and leaders to meet goals and deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and drive execution across multiple priorities
  • Significant knowledge of project management best practices and tools
  • Proficient at thoughtful and responsive communication - written, verbal and as a presenter
  • Proficient at establishing, building and maintaining functional working relationships
  • Escalate issues and roadblocks as necessary and in a timely manner for resolution support
  • Willingness to grow and take on new responsibilities, including identification of process improvement
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications including Microsoft Project (or Smartsheet or equivalent)
  • Interface, as needed, with all organizations within the company of Supply Services and Operations including
    GMs/AGMs, Operations Managers, Implementation, Procurement, Finance, and Safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Content Creation Experience
  • Experience with a variety of Learning Management systems and platforms
  • Working knowledge of distribution (warehouse) and transportation operations
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends or learning opportunities
  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail
  • Experience driving clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Track record as a communicator who thrives on managing a variety of initiatives concurrently and
    on deadline
