Overview

The Principal Team Leader, VBL Finance is responsible for leading a team of two analysts managing the capital investment strategy, pricing, financial scenario modeling, and cash flow projections for Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods. This individual will lead the modeling of multiple business scenarios, report financial data, and make business decision recommendations to leaders across the business. This individual will have extensive understanding of financial statement models and investment trade-off decisions to enable leaders to better understand financial performance and make key business decisions. This role will focus on understanding the needs of the business and overseeing the development of financial strategy; coordinating with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to create solutions; and applying sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment actions to ensure appropriate due diligence is applied to business decisions. An advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial return metrics and methodologies, technology tools and data structures is also required. The role requires a skilled problem-solver who is constantly innovating and learning new skills while engaging with stakeholders across the business to meet shared objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish understanding of the financial model for our multi-site network
  • Partner with parent organization’s Shared Services team to deliver financial support for the entity
  • Ensure integration into parent entity’s financials in partnership with Shared Services
  • Own revenue and expense strategies, financial statement analysis, and pricing model philosophy
  • Manage financial aspects of the business to test various scenarios, calculate the cost of new projects, decide on budgets, and allocate corporate resources
  • Obtain a solid working knowledge of the primary drivers of operations and their impact on financial performance
  • Develop and present financial analyses, reports, and presentations to senior leadership to support decision-making for new investments
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to solicit feedback on upcoming projects and future business endeavors (e.g. – Cold Storage, 2x/Day Delivery, etc.)
  • Work cross functionally with Finance and Accounting teams on capital and other asset-based purchases
  • All other duties may be assigned at leader’s discretion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Finance or Business-related field
  • 8+ years relevant business experience
  • Excellent business communication and presentation skills
  • FP&A Experience in a multi-location organization
  • Financial Modeling Experience
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems such as Oracle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • MBA
