As a Warehouse Team Member, you will report to a warehouse supervisor and be responsible for supporting a variety of duties including unloading, putting away, picking, staging and loading product at the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center in Cartersville, Georgia. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the cleanliness and sanitation of the warehouse. To be successful, you will support the warehouse manager in driving overall efficient and accurate movement of products through the DC to enable excellent service to Operators. Warehouse staff will also help drive continued innovation at an operation like no other in the food service industry.

The Chick-fil-A Supply Warehouse operates Monday-Saturday, 4:00AM-9:00PM.  Shifts will be scheduled within these hours and may rotate throughout the year.

 

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Team Member, you are a key driver in the efficiency, organization and cleanliness of the warehouse by ensuring that:

  • Product is promptly unloaded into the warehouse and loaded onto outbound trucks according to company policies and weight/loading restrictions;
  • Product is properly staged and prepared for efficient loading procedures;
  • All equipment is safely operated (e.g., forklifts and pallet jacks)
  • Food safety standards are maintained throughout the warehouse
  • Technology such as scanners are accurately and effectively operated
  • Data is entered correctly
  • Product is accepted and returned in accordance with company policies
  • Other duties may also be assigned from time to time.

 




Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be able to:

  • Work consistently in extreme temperature conditions such as the freezer
  • Complete physically demanding work, including frequently lifting up to 65 pounds and occasionally moving with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 pounds
  • Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work
  • Work with and handle cleaning chemicals as needed
  • Work while standing for several hours at a time
  • Prepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and rotating shifts
  • Wear all appropriate clothing safety equipment as required for the task being performed according to the employee handbook and PPE safety requirements
  • Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholders including DC management
  • Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner
